How to make a complaint against the ministry
Tips on making a formal complaint about ministry staff
- When you contact the complaints manager, be ready to explain clearly what your complaint is, along with the facts and dates. (The complaints manager will talk to the worker and/or the worker’s supervisor, and may look at your file if you have one. Other people who know about, or who are involved in the complaint, may be contacted.)
- Give the complaints manager a list of people you know who have direct knowledge and information to support your complaint.
Note: Get the permission of these people before you hand over their names and contact information.
- Send the manager a written summary of your complaint and the steps you've taken to date, along with the results.
