Intro Before you begin your Provincial Court response
Step 1 Review the application for an initial family order
Step 2 Collect documents about your income, if necessary
Step 3 Prepare the court documents
Step 4 Swear or affirm the Financial Statement (Form 4), if necessary
Step 5 Make copies of the documents
Step 6 File the documents
Step 7 Receive notice of the court date
Step 8 Attend the first appearance date
Step 9 Prepare for the family case conference, if necessary
Step 10 Attend the family case conference, if necessary
Step 11 Attend a trial preparation conference, if necessary
Step 12 Prepare for the trial
Step 13 Attend the trial
Step 14 Get the order
Step 15 Register the order with the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (if you want)
